DESIGN FOR A NEW TYPE OF HYDROSTATIC PISTON PUMP OR PISTON ENGINE KNOWN AS A DIAGONAL PISTON PUMP OR DIAGONAL PISTON ENGINE

New type of piston engine functioning as a piston pump or a piston engine, preferably called a diagonal engine which, thanks to hydrostatic bearings (9, 39), is provided with cylinder bores (5, 6, 35 ) with a free area everywhere from any choke point. Due to the considerable angle at which the cylinder bores are arranged, a very long piston stroke (4, 34) can be obtained in comparison with the possible stroke length with other piston engines and hydrostatic piston pumps.
