A hopper head (1) for rainwater running off a roof for diverting it into a drainage downpipe and with an insert (2) which rests with its lower edge on supporting feet (5) and forms a gap of limited height at its lower edge between insert and hopper head on the one hand and the supporting feed on the other hand, characterised in that the insert (2) has the form of a truncated cone and, at its tapered upper side, has a central opening (3) with a shaped-on coaxial pipe nozzle (4).
