摘要
A method for the fine regulation of the mass flow of fuel in burner-operated combustion devices for fossil energy carriers by measurement of the residual oxygen content of the exhaust gases, the CO contained in the exhaust gas being used as characteristic quantity for the evaluation of the optimum conversion of material. A microprocessor is used, into which the real carbon monoxide concentration (ppm) associated with a particular burner mixing head and with a particular burn-up air quantity which has been set is read in. When the burner is first put into operation, the microprocessor is subjected to a learning phase. In this phase, the CO and O2 values are continuously measured and the initially closed mass-flow fine controller is opened step by step until the CO content greatly increases. The associated O2 value is stored in the RAM of the microprocessor and the next load stage is selected by defined setting of the main fuel/air controller until the burn-up characteristic typical of the burner has been fully recorded and stored in the RAM.
