A wafer (10) is obtained by spreading repeatedly using a silk- screen process raw coloured rubber (2) in a solvent, on a thin aluminium support (3) which may be combined with a paper (4). The silk-screen coats are alternated with a coat of white substance (11) when there is the danger of the color being attacked as a result of migration of the base colour; subsequently, the wafer is cut to shape and treated in an oven and placed together with a base rubber support (1) in a mould and vulcanised under pressurised conditions. Different coloured wafers may be placed in the mould and vulcanised to give a multi-coloured watch-strap. IMAGE
