Rainwater gutter, in particular for greenhouses, and process for producing a rainwater gutter

The rainwater gutter, suitable in particular for greenhouses, has a lower top layer, the space between said top layer and the rainwater gutter being sealed in a seam-free manner with a foamable insulating material and a sandwich-like composite element thus being formed. In order to achieve a uniformly good heat insulation, the top layer is located at the same distance from the rainwater gutter at all points. In order to achieve this uniform distance, spacers, consisting of a heat-insulating material, are introduced into the cavity between rainwater gutter and top layer, but are preferably adhesively bonded onto the underside of the rainwater gutter. An electric heating strip for heating the gutter material is attached on the underside of the rainwater gutter, as a result of which the gutter can be kept free of snow and ice. The costs of the energy required for this are, in comparison with the gain achieved in plant growth, extremely low.
