The main application P 3423848.4 relates to a system in which the ventilation of vehicle cabins is controlled in dependence on pollutants. At high pollutant concentrations, the fresh-air supply is interrupted by setting the recirculating air flap, motor-driven, such that rather than fresh air penetrating into the vehicle cabin, the latter operates with recirculating air. To avoid misting of the windows at very low temperatures, in particular at temperatures less than 0 DEG C, it is proposed according to the invention to provide a temperature sensor in the sensor head, which temperature sensor acts on an electrical actuating element such that, at temperatures less than a specifiable level, the sensor output signal is forcibly switched to a level which corresponds to unpolluted external air.
