The invention relates to a step-and-repeat copying method for multiple photographic transmission of an individual image from a transparent film original (7) to a film (4) to be exposed, the original (7) being brought with the aid of aligning marks into a defined initial position with respect to the film (4) to be exposed. It is the object of the invention to develop the copying method in such a way that the original (7) can more easily be aligned.
