The invention relates to a device for the continuous creation of corrosion protection in a steel-plate heating-oil storage container, one or more anodes, which are connected to the positive terminal of a DC source, being arranged over the container base, the container wall forming the cathode by being connected to the negative terminal of the DC source, and an electrically conductive liquid being provided over the base of the container. The invention comprises the anodes 1 in each case being constructed as a section of a metal wire in the form of a small rod and being fastened to an anode support 6. Said anodes are surrounded by a protective sheath 12 which consists of electrically non-conductive material and ensures that the contact between the anodes 1 and the electrolyte 2 is largely unimpeded.
