The vehicle inserts pipes in the ground by turning alternately in opposite directions. It comprises a wheeled loader etc. with a mounting bracket coupled by parallel hydraulic rams to the pipe to be inserted. In order to reduce the loads and torque applied to the loader chassis in opposite directions as the pipe is inserted in the ground there is a torsion bar (6) between two mounting brackets (5). This is coupled by a bar (8) and connectors (7) to the chassis of the loader (1), while a stabilising frame (4) hinges on the two brackets. USE - Pipe-laying machine.
