Metal complex salts of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate and benzimidazolyl-carbamate of formula (I) are new: (M is Zn and n is 1 or 2; or M is Cu and n is 1; all 3 cpds. are specifically claimed). Pref. CuCl2 or ZnCl2 is reacted with methyl N-(benzimidazol-2-yl) carbamate (II) in aq. soln. at 20-90 deg.C. Reaction mixt. is treated with an aq. soln. of Na ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate (III).
