Emergency treatment apparatus for overloading and meteorism in animals

The apparatus is composed of a tube 1, which is open at both its ends, of a mandrel, with a tip 15 and a handle 17, sliding in the said tube 1, of a means for attaching the said tube 1 to the said mandrel in the direction of the tip 15, the tip 15 then slightly extending from the lower end of the tube 1, and of an annular balloon 8 surrounding the said tube 1 approximately at its middle, a pipe connecting the said balloon 8 to an external inflation and deflation member 11. The tube 1 includes perforations 7 in its lower part. A washer 12, whose periphery is drilled with holes 13, is mounted around the said tube 1, and can be displaced manually along the upper part of the latter. Once the apparatus is inserted in the viscus of the animal, the wall of the viscus is immobilised between the balloon 8 and the washer 12. The apparatus according to the invention is intended for veterinary use, for landowners, livestock rearers and any informed person having, or taking care of, animals. IMAGE
