The present invention relates to a feed supplement for the nutrition of domestic carnivores such as in particular dogs or cats. According to the invention, this feed supplement is essentially based on phytotherapeutic substances, and additionally contains vitamins, mineral salts and trace elements in predetermined amounts, these components preferably also being derived from plants. The feed supplement conforming to the invention is particularly useful for the preparation of compositions with a depurative and revitalising effect which is beneficial to body hair or for promoting growth, and it can be incorporated in gelatine so as to be packaged in any normal feed such as biscuits or feed rations.
