Parts applicator for a machine for automatically assembling slide fastener sliders

A slider parts applicator (10) includes a support block (11) which is rockingly movable to angularly reciprocate an operating portion (16) between a first position to receive a slider part (40) and a second position to apply the slider part (40) to a slider body (41). The operating portion (16) is movable to force the slider part (40) against the slider body (41) in response to linear-reciprocating movement of an applicator rod (15). With this construction, an accurate attachment of the slider part to the slider body is achieved even though the slider part is relatively small, light and sometimes resilient. The aforesaid rocking and linear-reciprocating movements are obtained by a single driving means (22) through a plate cam (15) and an actuator block (21) connected thereto. The apparatus (10) thus constructed is compact and simple in construction and hence can be incorporated in an automatic slider assembling machine with utmost ease. In the preferred embodiment a pull tab is attached to a slider body by means of a spring (40). IMAGE
