METALIIC SHEET FOR PAINTING HAVING HIGH MATTE EFFECT OF PAINTING AND ITS PRODUCTION AND MATTE PAINTED METALLIC SHEET

PURPOSE:To suppress the specular reflection of light on the surface of the final product of a metallic sheet and to improve the matte effect of painting by forming peak parts provided with groove shaped valley parts around said parts to have a specified inter-peak spacing and forming intermediate flat parts between the peak parts, thereby imparting uniform ruggedness to the metallic sheet. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the metallic sheet is formed to such microscopic form of the roughness that the continuous groove-shaped valley parts 11 are formed to enclose the circumference of the peak parts 10 and the intermediate flat parts 12 formed to the height lower than the bottom of the peak parts 11 and lower than the peak surface of the peak parts 10 or to the same height are provided between the adjacent peak parts 10. The center line average height Ra on the surface of the metallic sheet is within an Ra=1.0mum range and the metallic sheet is rolled to the uniform surface roughness by work rolls for temper rolling subjected to dull finishing by laser beam processing. The roughness profile of the steel sheet surface is controlled by changing the distance between the center of the peak parts 10 to change the occupying ratio of the flat parts by the peak surface of the peak parts 10 and the top surface of the flat parts 12 and the ratio of slopes 13 around the peak parts 10.
