CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE IN PERFORMANCE DIAGNOSIS EXPERT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To apply a performance diagnosis expert system with no dependence on the conversation processing input of system users, by acquiring the knowledge of the system working situation, the knowledge of the system device constitution, etc. and performing the reasoning based on these acquired knowledges. CONSTITUTION:A logical engine 3 of a performance diagnosis expert system 1 is started by an input/output device 2 and a rule type knowledge 5 stored in a knowledge base 4 is carried out. Then a reference or replacement action is issued to an object type knowledge 6 in accordance with the conditional description. A system working situation knowledge acquiring means 8 is started as long as an additional procedure 7 referring to the knowledge of the system working situation is defined to the knowledge 6. The means 8 extracts the desired system working situation information out of a working situation information storing file 11 stored in a resident external memory device 10 of the system 1. While the knowledge of the constitution of a system device is also acquired in the same way. Thus the system 1 is available with no dependence on the conversation processing input of the system users.
