DYNAMIC OPTIMUM LINE SELECTION SYSTEM BY THROUGHPUT

PURPOSE:To attain optimum line selection dynamically by obtaining the margin of a line depending on 1st-3rd counters and selecting a line having the highest margin through a mount line to a destination. CONSTITUTION:The presence of the line is discriminated first. When a line exists, a line selection means 24 extracts a current throughput counter 25 and the value of the throughput 26 and the maximum allowable throughput counter 27 corresponding to the mounted line. Then the line margin is obtained by the value of the counter 25, the throughput 26, the counter 27 and the throughput of the present call. Similar processing is applied in other lines additionally and the margin is obtained. Then the margin of each line is obtained to all package lines of destination and compared and a line having the maximum margin is an object line. When the line is selected, a call request and data transfer are applied via the line.
