METHOD FOR PREPARING EVALUATION OIL FOR COMBUSTION TEST OF OIL HEATER

PURPOSE:To easily form evaluation oil for performing the combustion test of an oil heater within a short time, by preparing the evaluation oil having a definite acid value by mixing modified oil obtained by preliminarily modifying kerosene with kerosene at predetermined concn. CONSTITUTION:The acid value of an oil to be evaluated is calculated using formula I [wherein Ki is the acid value of evaluation oil, 1/i is the quantity of evaluation oil capable of obtaining a result equal to that of 1vol. of kerosene in a combustion test and a-c are constants]. Next, the concn. X of modified oil having an acid value A constituting evaluation oil along with kerosene having an acid value A0 is calculated from formula II [X is the concn. v/v% of modified oil having an acid value A] using the acid value Ki. The modified oil prepared by preliminarily modifying kerosene and kerosene are mixed on the basis of said concn. By this method, evaluation oil having a definite acid value can be easily prepared.
