COSMETIC CONTAINING PREPARED SPLENIC EXTRACT SOLUTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic, containing an extract solution, prepared from a bovine or porcine spleen and having specific respective total amounts of N and P with excellent stability, powerful inhibitory action on tyrosinase as well as anti-inflammatory action of erythema. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing and extract solution of a bovine or por cine spleen adjusted to =0.07wt./vol% total content of N and 0.001-0.01wt./vol% total content of P. The prepared solution of the above- mentioned splenic extract can be obtained by, e.g. extracting a bovine or porcine spleen as starting raw material with a 35vol./vol% aqueous solution of ethanol and blending the resultant extract with an extract prepared by hydrolyzing the residues thereof. This extract contains nuclear proteins such as nucleosides or nucleotides, etc., in large amounts.
