CENTERING AND CHUCKING MECHANISM IN VERTICAL COIL WINDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To perform whole operations automatically and improve production yield, by a method wherein a winding machine is provided with centering mechanism for determining the proper position of a core an with chucking mechanism for winding the core in coincidence to the rotation center shaft of an adjacent flier. CONSTITUTION:Rollers 10, 10' are abutted to a core 1 from outside and the core 1 is moved to a fixed blade 11. The core 1 is arranged in a proper position when it is grasped by the rollers 10, 10' and the fixed blade 11. In other words, centering operation is completed. Upper and lower ends of the core 1 are grasped by pawls 17-20. The pawls 17, 18 are connected to one end of driving levers 26, 27 connected to pistons 24, 25 of air cylinders 22, 23 thereby perform chucking operation. Coinciding work with the rotation center shaft of an adjacent flier is performed. Chucking mechanism and centering mechanism except the core are driven downwards by lifting mechanism. Wire-winding drive is performed by a flier (not shown).
