摘要

PURPOSE:To perform the accurate sheet thickness control by installing a sheet width gage between intermediate rolling stands as well as an inlet side sheet width gage, predicting a sheet width deviation in the downstream, and controlling a tension between stands in the downstream side. CONSTITUTION:An inlet side sheet width gage 2 is installed in the inlet side of a hot continuous rolling mill consisting of lined plural stands S1-S7 and a width gage 7 is also installed between intermediate stands. An inlet side sheet width and a temp. from an inlet side thermometer 3 are inputted to a control arithmetic unit 5 to control a tension between stands in the upstream side from the gage 7. The unit 5 predicts width deviations being generated in the downstream based on a width detected by the gage 7 and transition temps. of a rolled stock and controls a tension between stands in the downstream side from the gage 7. Thus, the accurate sheet width control is performed without influences of a material of the stock and rolling conditions.
