TREATMENT FOR MICROCYSTIS SP. AND TREATMENT THEREOF

PURPOSE:To make a phytoplankton Microcystis sp. into a flock by flocculating action of a treatment for Microcystis sp., to float Microcystis sp. by gas evolving ability of Microcystis sp. and to collect Microcystis sp., by applying a treatment for Microcystis sp., comprising a water-soluble aluminum salt as an active ingredient to a water zone having propagation of Microcystis sp. CONSTITUTION:A treatment for Microcystis sp. containing a water-soluble aluminum salt such as aluminum sulfate, sodium aluminate, basic aluminum chloride, polyaluminum chloride, as an active ingredient is obtained. The treatment for Microcystis sp. is applied to a water zone having propagation of Microcystis sp., Microcystis sp. is made into a flock, the flock is floated by making use of gas evolving ability of Microcystis sp. of its own, and collected to clean lakes and marshes, to control water quality and to clean service water. The amount of the water-soluble aluminum salt used is 10-40mg/l (preferably 20mg/l) calculated as Al2O2. When an iron salt is used as an auxiliary for smell destruction, the amount of the iron salt blended is 0.1-1.0pt.wt. based on 100pts.wt. aluminum salt.
