STEVEDORING METHOD FOR SHIP CARRYING CONSOLIDATED CARGO OF AUTOMOBILE AND CONTAINER

PURPOSE:To increase the number of containers to be carried and improve efficiency through doing automobile-stevedoring and container-stevedoring simultaneously by having the 1st process wherein a container is 'lift on' and the 2nd process wherein the container is 'rolled on'. CONSTITUTION:Platforms 1, 1 for container-stevedoring are provided by shortening partially the front and rear of the upper structure provided protrudingly on the upper deck 2 of an automobile transport ship of a type for transporting exclusively automobiles. And, in case of loading, simultaneously with the 'roll on' stevedoring of automobiles to automobile decks 016 through a car ladder 017, ramps 018 on shipboard, containers 013 are first 'lifted on' on a stevedoring platform 1 as the 1st process. Next, as the 2nd process, containers 013 on the platform 1 are 'rolled on' through a door 5 to a deck 7 used both as automobile deck and container deck for which a movable deck 015 in the middle has already been pulled up to the back side of the upper side automobile deck 016.
