SMOKING INSECTICIDE AND METHOD FOR SMOKING SAID INSECTICIDE

PURPOSE:To obtain a smoking insecticide, by filling a smoking agent containing permethrin, antioxidant and organic foaming agent in a bag of a synthetic resin film, such as polyethylene cellophane laminated film, perforating only a part where an ignition tool of a slow burning material is contacted. CONSTITUTION:A smoking insecticide obtained by filling a smoking agent containing permethrin, an antioxidant (e.g. dibutylhydroxytoluene) and organic foaming agent (e.g. azodicarbonamide) in a bag of a synthetic resin film perforating only a part of contact when an ignition tool consisting of a slow burning material (e.g. mosquito-repellent incense) is contacted. The above-mentioned smoking insecticide is placed in a container and the ignition tool consisting of the slow burning material is brought into contact therewith to thermally decompose the organic foaming agent and smoke the insecticidal ingredient from the contact part. This insecticide is extremely useful for controlling agricultural and horticultural insect pests or mites including sanitary insect pests, such as flies, mosquitoes and cockroaches.
