SPEED CONTROLLER FOR SYNCHRONOUS AC SERVO MOTOR

PURPOSE:To correspond to the arbitrary number of poles of a synchronous AC servo motor by providing a frequency divider between the output and the input of a PLL circuit. CONSTITUTION:A zero crossing point output VCOM from a resolver 1 is input to a PLL circuit 47. The phase locked output VPLL is again input through a frequency divider 48 as the reference input of the PLL circuit. When the number of poles of a synchronous AC servo motor 2 is 4 poles, the frequency of the phase locked output VPLL becomes twice of the frequency of zero crossing point output VCOM if the frequency dividing ratio of the divider 48 is set to 1/2. Thus, it can correspond to the arbitrary number of poles of the motor without altering the type of the resolver 1.
