ON LINE FLAW DETECTING DEVICE FOR EXTRUSION BLANK PIPE

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable to inspect the defect of the metal blank pipe of after extrusion by an ON LINE by providing a flaw detecting device in approaching to the downstream side of a straightener in the case of continuously straightening an extrusion blank pipe. CONSTITUTION:The extrusion blank pipe 1 extruded by an extruding press 2 is straightened by a straightening machine 4 in succession after placing it on a runout table. The surface inspection and inner part inspection are perfomed by the flaw detecting device 5 of an ultrasonic flaw detector, eddy current flaw detector, etc., immediately after straightening, and it is cut in the prescribed length by a cutter 6. In this way the inspection accuracy of the extrusion blank pipe 1 is remarkably improved and the space can be saved by detecting the flaw with ON LINE.
