PURPOSE:To detect an adhesion defect part by projecting laser light on a light transmission material and measuring the quantity of light reflected by the interface between the light transmission material and an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:When the detection is performed, the laser light 7 from a laser oscillator 8 is projected on the light transmission material 3 at a specific angle theta. The light 7 is transmitted in the material 3 while refracted according to its refractive index, reflected by the interface 14 between the material 3 and adhesive 2, and emitted as the reflected light 9 from the surface of the material 3 at the angle theta. A power meter 10 detects the quantity of the reflected light 9 and data on the quantity of reflected light at the irradiation position is recorded on the recording part 12 of an inspection device 13. When the adhesion between the material 3 and adhesive 2 is excellent, the detected quantity of reflected light has a constant rate to the laser light 7. If there is a defect in the adhesion between the material 3 and adhesive 2, the laser light 7 is transmitted through a border layer 14 which is the reverse surface of the material 3 and reflected by the adhesive 2, so the angle of the reflection becomes irregular and the detected quantity of the reflected light 9 decreases.
