PURPOSE:To perform the quick processing with a simple operation by providing a message file into a memory device to store the identification code of an error, the corresponding message number and a message text respectively. CONSTITUTION:With input of an error identification code produced from a display device 1, a code processing means 3 extracts a factor code corresponding to said identification code out of a code combination table 6 of a memory device 5. Then the corresponding factor message sentence is taken out of a factor message table 7. At this time, a countermeasure code for recovering error is also taken out. Then a countermeasure message sentence is taken out of a countermeasure message table 8. These extracted factor and countermeasure message sentence are displayed on the device 1 or a printer 2 via a message output means 4. With input of plural error identification codes, an error factor common with each error is detected through the table 6 and therefore an optimum factor countermeasure message sentence is selected and delivered.
