POLYMER-CEMENT MORTAR CORROSION-RESISTANT COVER AND CORROSION-PROOFING WORK THEREWITH

PURPOSE:To simplify construction work and raise durability and dispense with maintenance for a long period by using a corrosion-resistant cover formed by precasting polymer-cement mortar excellent in strength, density, and durability into a panel. CONSTITUTION:Polymer-cement mortar having a compressive strength of about 1,000 and a density of about 2.16 is molded by extrusion under vacuum condition under stirring into a 1/4 and 1/2 split type precast panel to obtain a corrosion- resistant cover 10. Organism and rust adhered to the splash zone of a steel tubular pile 1 are removed by a water jet, and the surface of the pile 1 is covered with the corrosion-resistant cover 10 coated with an adhesive 12 composed of epoxy resin putty excellent in adhesion and impact resistance, in a thickness of about 3mm. The joint or sealing 13 between the panels 10 or between the panel 10 and the upper part 9 is bonded with the adhesive 12.
