WATER-DRAINING PIPE FITTED GROOVE FOR BLOCK IN CIVIL WORK

PURPOSE:To save labors to break concrete blocks by a method in which, a pipe-fitting groove whose back end is expanded is formed in a civil work block having a projected stay formed by an angular slope on its back side. CONSTITUTION:A pipe-fitting groove 6 is formed by projecting stays 3 from angular slopes 2 on a place where a water-draining pipe 7 is to be set on the back side of a block body 1. The groove 6 is formed by widening the side width of the back end by an upper sloped edge 5a and a lower sloped edge 5b from the body 1 to the slope 2. The tip of a pipe 7 is fitted into the groove 6 and the pipe 7 is set by concrete 8 by suitably inclining it slantly downwards along the edge 5a or the edge 5b of the block 4. The appearance of the retaining wall can thus be raised.
