ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE CONTROLLER FOR LOW PRESSURE ENVIRONMENTAL TEST ROOM FOR SELF-PROPELLED VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To enable a test to be performed in a natural environmental condition by arranging an inlet port in one end of a first air vent near the exhaust port of an exhaust tube and opening an inlet port in one end of a second air vent in a low pressure environmental test room. CONSTITUTION:Outside air drawn by a charging blower 5 via an inlet port 4 in the distal end of an air vent 3 is supplied to a low pressure environmental test room 2 via a flow regulating valve 6 and a throttle valve 7. An inlet port 10 provided in the distal end of an exhaust air vent 9a is arranged near the exhaust port of an exhaust tube 1a. An inlet port 11 provided in the distal end of an exhaust air vent 9b is opened in the test room 2. A pressure control valve 17 is provided in the course of the air vent 9b. In such an atmospheric pressure controller, air in the test room 2 is drawn in from both the inlet ports 10 and 11. Therefore, there is neither a forcible intake from the exhaust port of the exhaust tube 1a nor the effect of the back pressure of a decompression blower 12 on the engine of an automobile 1 and a test can be conducted in a natural environment.
