PURPOSE:To prepare a light wt. and low cost printing wire high in durability at high yield while shortening a lead time without damaging the function of the printing wire, by setting the shape of the printing wire comprising a piece of the same material by winding a printing wire and a wire pin around the center of the wire while heating one end of the wire to combine and unite both of them. CONSTITUTION:A material 21 having the same diameter as a printing wire slides through a guide bush 23 through a check 22. A tool a,27 advances to the material protruded from the mouth of the guide bush 23 by a necessary length to bend said material at a right angle and retracts to the original position while a tool b,28 advances to stop. The material 21 is heated at a heating part by laser beam 30 and, at the same time, the material 21 begins to rotate by the chuck 22 and is rounded by the tool b,28 to be formed into a circle. The formed one is pushed by a predetermined length in the direction shown by an arrow by the chuck 22 and cut off from the material 21 by the advance of a tool c,29.
