PURPOSE:To enable reduction in concentration of hydrogen chloride in exhaust gas, by a method wherein hydrogen chloride is neutralized by spreading calcium carbonate powder into exhaust gas in a high temperature area on the outlet side of a secondary high temperature cracking furnace, and produced calcium chloride is separated off. CONSTITUTION:Waste is introduced to primary combustion furnaces 1 and 2, and is gasified under the feed of assist combustion oil and combustion air to a burner to produce combustion gas. In a high temperature cracking furnace 3, assist combustion oil is atomized and fed in exhaust gas atmosphere in a furnace through an assist burner, the exhaust gas is uniformly exposed to high temperature in the high temperature cracking furnace, and a noxious material in exhaust gas is pyrolytically decomposed. Calcium carbonate is fed and sprayed in exhaust gas from a neutralizing agent bunker 14. A most of calcium carbonate is pyrotically dissociated into calcium oxidation and carbonic acid gas, and rest is neutralized with hydrogen chloride in exhaust gas in a high temperature area in a system as it is to produce calcium chloride. The produced calcium chloride is separated off from exhaust gas by means of an electric dust collector 8, and exhaust gas, hydrogen chloride concentration in which is reduced, is exhausted through a stack 10.
