INPUT SIDE SWITCHING CIRCUIT FOR BIPOLAR/UNIPOLAR CONVERTER

PURPOSE:To attain less power consumption, a longer service life and high reliability by adopting a switching electronic circuit comprised of an emitter follower circuit and a switching transistor (TR) for a switching circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a bipolar/unipolar (B/U) converter 1 is faulty and switching into a standby B/U converter 10, the switching TR 3 of a switching electronic circuit 1-2 is turned on by a control signal. Then a bipolar signal through a transformer 1-1 passes through an emitter follower circuit 20 and is switched to be given to the converter 10. That is, since the switching is applied by switching electronic circuits 1-2-N-2 comprised of each circuit 20 and the TR 3, the power consumption is reduced the service life is prolonged and the reliability is enhanced.
