PURPOSE:To easily decide an undefined word or not at a stage of a Japanese language input processing part of a question-answer system, by indicating clearly a clause containing an undefined word displayed on a display means, by flickering or a change of a display color, etc., and giving a warning to a user. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 13 controls an input device 10, a buffer memory 11, a dictionary memory 12 and a display device 20 by a control program which has been stored therein. In a question-answer system, at the time of converting a series of 'KANA' (Japanese syllabary)-strings inputted from the input device 10, to a 'KANJI' (Chinese character), in case an undefined vocabulary has been contained as a result of conversion, a clause containing an undefined word displayed on the display device 20 is displayed by flickering or a change of a display color, etc., and a warning is given to a user.
