PRODUCTION OF JEWEL AND ORNAMENT GOODS BY LOST WAX CASTING METHOD

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of goods and to reduce the production cost by calcinating a precious stone coated by fire resistant thin film on the surface together with wax model in a refractory and next casting the precious stone and a precious metal in a body. CONSTITUTION:The surface of precious stone is coated by the thin film of fire resistant oxide, such as SiO2, etc., and after burrying into the refractory together with the wax model, the calcination is executed at 700-800 deg.C. Then, the wax is removed while burning but as the surface of precious stone is coated by the fire resistant thin film, it is not affected to oxidizing. Next, the molten precious metal is poured into a cavity in the mold, to make the precious stone and the precious metal in a body. At last, the fire resistant thin film on the surface of precious stone is removed by hydrogen fluoride solution to obtain the goods. In this way, the special furnace is not used and fitting work of the precious stone at the fitting table is omitted. Therefore, the productivity of goods is improved and the production cost is reduced.
