HARD CONTACT LENS HAVING HIGH OXYGEN PERMEABILITY

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve hardness and hydrophilicity by using unsatd. carboxylic acid and =2 kinds of fluorine-contg. monomer having different mol.wt. as essential components. CONSTITUTION:This lens consists of a copolymer essentially consisting of 5-30wt% unsatd. carboxylic acid, 15-70wt% at least two kinds of the fluorine- contg. monomers having different mol.wt., 10-50wt% silicone contg. (meth) acrylate and 1-15wt% at least one kind of the multifunctional (meth)acrylate. Acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid, fumaric acid, maleic acid, cinammic acid and alpha-fluoroacrylic acid, more particularly methacrylic acid are adequate as the unsatd. carboxylic acid. Not only the high oxygen permeability is thereby obtd. but also the deterioration in the hardness and wettability by water arising from the improvement in the oxygen permeability is eliminated.
