REGENERATION OF ABSORPTION LIQUID FOR WET DESULFURIZATION OF COKE OVEN GAS

PURPOSE:To keep circulating exhaust air component from the explosion range and to enable safe operation, by using a gaseous mixture of desulfurized coke oven gas and oxygen as oxidation and regeneration gas and recycling and reusing the gas after replenishing oxygen gas. CONSTITUTION:A desulfurization absorption liquid after the desulfurization reaction in a wet desulfurization of a coke oven gas is regenerated by oxidation. In the above process, a gaseous mixture of a desulfurized coke oven gas and oxygen is used as the oxidation and regeneration gas, replenished with oxygen corresponding to the volume of oxygen compound in the regeneration reaction and the replenished gas is recycled and reused. The safety equipment for circulating air component necessary in conventional process can be eliminated and valuable resources such as H2, hydrocarbons, etc., which have hitherto been dissipated together with exhaust air can be recovered.
