SEMI-SUBMERGED WORK SHIP FOR INSTALLATION OF LARGE MARINE STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To conduct an installation work simply by arranging an upper hull with a pair of the right and the left trunk sections as free of moving up and down along stanchions erected on a lower hull with a pair of the right and the left trunk sections, mounting a marine structure on the upper hull, and moving it up and down in the prescribed sea area. CONSTITUTION:An upper hull 6 with a pair of the right and the left trunk sections 5 is arranged as free of moving up and down along a multitude of stanchions 4 erected on individual hull sections 2 of a lower hull 3 with a pair of the right and the left hull sections 2. The tops of individual stanchions 4 are connected together with horizontal connect members 7, and the front end sections of the trunk sections 2,5 of the upper and the lower hulls 3,6 are tied together to form a U-shaped hull. A marine plant 12, etc. is mounted on the upper hull 6, which is navigated to a prescribed sea area, then the upper hull 6 is elevated above a foundation structure 14 for installing the plant 12 and is lowered after positioning, thus the plant 12 can be easily installed.
