PURPOSE:To reduce the use amount of a Karl Fischer (KF) reagent and to analyze moisture on-line with high accuracy, by controlling a KF analyzer while an analytical value estimated is stored. CONSTITUTION:Level sensors 9 are arranged to a titration bottle 7 and a KF reagent bottle 13 to detect the abnormal rising of the liquid level in the bottle 7 and the lowering in the residual amount of the KF reagent in the bottle 13 and the lowering in the pressure of a liquid specimen is detected by a pressure sensor 18. These signals are sent to a controller 2. Signals necessary for the driving and stoppage of a quantitative pump 4 and a reagent pump 13, the opening and closing of solenoid valves 6, 17 and the driving of a stirrer 8 are sent to respective machineries from the controller 2 having a computer incorporated therein to perform control. The analytical value estimated of the moisture in the liquid or gaseous specimen or the analytical value up to the previous time is preliminarily stored in the computer and a specimen sampling amount bringing the use amount of the KF reagent corresponding to said moisture analytical value to an amount suitable for performing analysis in an analyzer is operated by the computer and the specimen is introduced into the bottle on-line in the operated amount to be titrated by the KF reagent.
