PURPOSE:To prevent the slackening-down of a vegetating base during the growth of plant by a method in which ropes on end of each of which are fixed to the top of slope are hung down on slop, a vegetating base is laid on the ropes, and the base is bound to the ropes. CONSTITUTION:Anchors 3 are driven into the top of slope 2 to be treated and ropes 4 whose upper ends 4A are connected to the anchors 3 are hung down on the slope 2. A vegetating base material 1 is laid on the ropes 4 and bound to the ropes 4 with binding metals 5. As the material 1, a baggy mat packed with soil and fertilizer is used. Since the base material 1 is supported by the ropes 4, the slackening and falling down of the material 1 during the growth of plant can be prevented.
