EXTRACTING METHOD FOR RELATION OF GRAPHIC CONNECTION

PURPOSE:To process the extraction of connected relations among graphics at a high speed, by setting a specific vector and extracting the connected relations among graphics from the relation between a scanning line to be scanned and the vector. CONSTITUTION:Layout data are outputted to the input section of an input-output interface 5 and, after they are data-converted into a processable layout data format, outputted to a pattern resolving section 6. The pattern resolving section 6 implements a graphic table 12 and vector table 11 and performs the sorting of a vector. Moreover, the section 6 resolves the inputted layout data into rectangular or polygonal basic primitive graphics and successively adds graphic numbers of positive integers 1, 2, 3, ..., to each basic primitive graphic in the resolved order. Then the pattern resolving section 6 writes layer numbers in the graphic table 12 of a storing section 7 in corresponding to the graphic numbers and performs vector resolution to the resolved basic primitive graphics.
