PURPOSE:To amend a soft ground, by a method wherein flexible plane drainage materials are horizontally embedded by press in a soft ground, and one end of the flexible drainage material is connected to a center drain device separately mounted to promoto consolidating dehydration. CONSTITUTION:A center drain device 3 is installed in a manner to surround the circumference of a buried porous pipe with gravels, sands. Meanwhile, a large number of flexible plane drainage materials 1, connected to the drain device 3, are approximately horizontally embedded by press in a soft ground directly from the ground surface without excavating the soft ground 4. As a result, consolidating dehydration is promoted to amend the soft ground. Said drainage materials 1 are formed of an inner layer, consisting of a coarse structure unwoven cloth and a flexible linear member being placed in the longitudinal direction to form an open raceway, and poroud sheet materials being close in weave for covering the two outsides of the inner layer.
