YIELD INCREASING AGENT FOR GRAMINEOUS CROP COMPRISING BRASSINOLIDE OR METHOD FOR INCREASING YIELD OF SAID CROP

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled increasing agent effective for rice, wheat, maize, etc., setting an application period according to flowering time by one application and by an extremely small amount containing a brassinolide as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The titled agent comprising a brassinolide shown by formula I or formula II (R is H or acetyl) as an active ingredient. When the agent is used, one brassinolide alone or a blend of the brassinolides is diluted with water into a low concentration and used, or the agent is mixed with an auxiliary for agricultural chemical in order to promote action of the brassinolide and stabilize it, made into a form such as dust, granule, etc., by a method generally applied in production field of agricultural chemical and used. The content of the active ingredient is preferably 0.01-50wt% and the agent optionally contains only the active ingredient compound. The application amount of the active ingredient compound is 10-2mg-10mg and preferably 10-4-10ppm in the case of dissolution in water and application.
