PURPOSE:To make something wrong in a valve detectable easily and accurately, by attaching a vibro-sensor in and around the valve or a diagnostic subject to a surface part of a cylinder, and observing the detected value of the vibro- sensor. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a valve chest cover 11, for example, there are provided with various vibro-sensor 12 such as strain gauge, piezoelectric, electrokinetic types and so on, and these vibro-sensors 12 are connected to each of vibroscopes 13 which are connected to an oscilloscope 15 via a selector switch 14. On the other hand, in and around a joint between a crankshaft 3 and a motor 2, there is provided with a rotating pulse signal generating photosensor 16, and the detection signal is delivered to the oscilloscope 15 via an amplifier 17. According to this constitution, using the detection signal of the sensor 16 and corresponding to rotational motion of the crankshaft 3, a valve's oscillatory wave is obserable with eyes, so that trouble in the valve is detectable easily and accurately.
