RUBBER COMPOSITION HAVING LOW HARDNESS, HIGH STRENGTH AND LOW IMPACT RESILIENCE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, useful as shock-proof materials, e.g. shoe sole, etc., and capable of providing low impact resilience with low hardness as well as high strength, by blending polynorbornene with oils compatible therewith, unsaturated carboxylic acid, Mg2+, rubber reinforcing agent and peroxide. CONSTITUTION:A composition, obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. polynorbornene with (B) 180-400pts.wt. oils, e.g. aromatic oil, etc., compatible with the component (A), (C) 5-20pts.wt. 3-8C alpha,beta-monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, e.g. acrylic acid, etc., (D) 3-60pts.wt. rubber reinforcing agent or filler, e.g. silica, etc., and (E) 1-8pts.wt. peroxide, e.g. dicumyl peroxide, etc., and further (F) magnesium ions to given an equivalent amount or more based on the existing carboxylic acid groups and having 5-45 hardness after crosslinking measured by a JIS-A type hardness meter.
