METHOD FOR PREVENTING CLOGGING OF ODOR PIPE IN BY-PRODUCT RECOVERING APPARATUS PROVIDED IN COKE PLANT MODIFICATION AREA

PURPOSE:To simply and econmically prevent the clogging of an odor pipe, by conducting gas liq. washing of an odor pipe for sucking a combustible gas- contg. offensive odor generated in a by-product recovering apparatus provided in a coke plant and processing are into a code oven gas treating line. CONSTITUTION:A combustible gas-contg. offensive gas produced in a by-product recovering apparatus provided in a coke plant and processing area [e.g., a gas produced from a tar decanter (6)] is directly sucked through odor pipes (e.g., 31 and 31a) into a coke oven (1) gas treating line (conduit 10a). At this time, part of a gas liq. (gas liq. tank 7) recovered in the coke oven gas treating line is flowed down within the odor pipes (31 and 31a). specifically, e.g., part of the gas liq. is introduced from the gas liq. tank (7) by a pump (8) through a gas liq. conduit (23b) into a rising portion of the odor pipe (31) to wash the odor pipes (31 and 31a).
