PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-developable photosensitive material having superior stability in heat development processing and long-term storage by forming a layer for temporarily interrupting participation of the acid component of the heat-developable photographic material. CONSTITUTION:The heat developable photographic material comprises at least a support, photosensitive silver halide, a dye donor, a reducing agent, the acid component, and a binder, and it is provided with the interrupting layer for temporarily interrupting the participation of the acid component, and this interrupting layer itself may contain the acid component, but it is preferred to form this interrupting layer part from the acid component-containing layer on the side of the photosensitive layer, especially, in the order of the acid component-containing layer, the interrupting layer, and the photosensitive layer, and the interrupting layer comprises a polymer, such as gelatin or a mixture of gelatin and polyvinylpyrrolidone, as a binder in an amount of 0.55-50g, preferably, 1.0-10g per 1m2 of the layer, and it is preferred to contain a heat- meltable solvent, such as urea or N-methylurea.
