Fungicidal compositions comprising as active ingredient a naphthimidazolone of formula:- CHEM wherein Hal represents a halogen atom; R1 represents a hydrogen atom or various hydrocarbon substituents; R2 represents a halogen atom or an alkyl or haloalkyl group; and n is 0, 1 or 2; the use of such compounds as fungicides; certain novel naphthimidazolones within formula II and their preparation.
