PROCESS FOR PRODUCING EXTRACT OF COTINUS COGGYGRIA FROM BUDS AND LEAFS OF COTINUS COGGYGRIA

The young shoots are cut in Summer, dried at 50 deg. C, ground and extracted with a 1:1 acetone-water solvent at 20-30 deg. C. The extract is filtered and the acetone is distilled off at 50 deg. C under vacuum from the aq. phase, which has then the pH adjusted to 1-3 by a mineral acid and is then extracted with ethyl acetate. After sepn. the organic phase reacts with sodium sulphate and the ethyl acetate is distilled off (product A). The aq. phase reacts with ammonium sulphate, the prod. is extracted with acetone and after acetone evaporation product B is obtd. The two products are homogenised in a ratio of 15A:3B.
