Compsns. based on chlorinated poly-ethylene/CPE/contg. plasticisers, stabilisers, crosslinking agents and other accelerators, copolymers, fillers and solid lubricants like graphite, metal powder or metal-sulphide, e.g. molybdenum-disulphide, are prepd. by mixing the components, homogenising in the melt and vulcanising in the mould. Washers made from these compsns. have a low coefficient of friction and produce little wear on sliding metal components.
